Lower stress and tension and deepen your healing with yoga nidra!

On the third Tuesday of every month, Kate will teach a Restorative Yoga Nidra class during the 6:40PM mobility class through August.

Yoga nidra is also known as yogic sleep. It is a type of guided meditation that guides you into a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleeping. It is a state in which the body is in complete relaxation (yum!), and often times a session of yoga nidra can feel like the equivalent of 2-3 hours of sleep. It is useful to know and practice in busy weeks, for caregivers and parents, in stressful times and even during periods of cleansing or fasting to deepen your healing.

The practice of yoga relaxation has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. The symptoms of high stress such as headache, tension, chest pain, palpitations, sweating and digestive issues respond well to yoga nidra. It has also been practiced to help people cope with trauma of all kinds.

We’ll start out the workshop with some restorative stretching before we get into our supported resting poses. Kate will make a recording of our session and share it with all attendees so they may practice at home whenever it would benefit their lives.

Kate learned this form of guided mediation while in recovery from a painful nerve disorder and it helped her turn a corner back into health. She is so excited to teach it to others and give them the gift of yoga nidra.

You can reserve your spot in Wodify 72 hours before each session begins. Sessions will occur on June 20, July 18 and August 15 at 6:40pm.
