Hey Solcana Community!
I want to take a minute to introduce myself and the exciting growth on the sunny horizon for Solcana’s Yoga program!
First of all, thank you to everyone for welcoming me with open arms over the past few weeks. This community is the bee’s knees and you all have created such a warm environment for anyone that walks through the door.
My yoga background stems back to my mom and her introducing me to the practice when I was very young. She recently turned 60 and still practices every day, even post-knee replacement surgery. With her encouragement, I decided to sign up for teacher training at a local studio and never looked back. Through the past eight years of my teaching career, I have worked with many different populations and found there are many different approaches to teaching and one is not necessarily wrong or right. I am so very excited to collaborate with Wendy and Sally, not only to provide options and variety to the yoga classes and programming, but also to meet the needs of our diverse and rich community. As we grow and develop our program, your input is welcomed and greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns or are just simply curious about what’s happenin’ with Solcana Yoga.
Starting April 6th, we will be offering four yoga classes a week at Solcana! All four classes will be a little different in style and approach. We encourage you to check them out when you can to see what will be the best fit for you and what will meet your needs that day or week. We will be posting the descriptions of our yoga classes on the Solcana CrossFit website soon for better insight into what each class has to offer. Keep on the lookout for more info and news about the yoga program offerings on the Solcana website and Facebook!
Finally, we will be holding a free intro yoga class to all members, guests and community on Saturday, May 2nd at 10am, hopefully with the garage door wide open! Come welcome the spring season with an energizing flow with our rad community!
