Emma here with some full disclosure: I don’t care about the specifics of how or what you eat.

You may be thinking to yourself, ‘Gee, Emma, that seems strange since you are going to be facilitating the Essential You course moving forward, which is focused on NUTRITION! If you don’t care about what or exactly how I’m eating, what’s the point of signing up for the program!?’ Great question!

What I do care about is how you view yourself and how you treat your body. I care a lot about the fact that food plays a very pivotal role in your health and wellbeing, and that it provides a way for you to actively care for yourself. I also care about you as a whole person and I want to support you in making informed, conscious choices about the foods you eat so that you can play an active role in how you feel physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically! Our eating patterns and habits can be a great form of self-care. And I don’t mean the type of self-care that’s about escaping from your day-to-day. I’m talking about the actual act of caring for, being compassionate toward, and loving your human body! Which I have come to find is a radical act in our society.

          Speaking of radical…

My goal with Essential You is to share meaningful content about how food impacts your body. Content that outlines how you can utilize food in a way that supports the efficiency of your body’s innate ability to heal itself. My intention is to provide a safe space for you to explore the shit that gets stirred up when we change our eating habits! It’s not a black and white process and there may be some bumps along the way. By navigating these changes with a group of other badass folks, we will learn from each other, we will support each other, and we will continuously be reminded that we are not alone and that there’s an entire heap of baggage around food and eating habits in our society.

More specifically, Essential You provides the opportunity to learn how food impacts our blood sugar levels and our digestive system. It’s also about obtaining the direct experience of removing certain foods and how it makes you feel physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically in your body. The purpose of removing certain foods for a period of time isn’t to suggest that there is a “right” way to eat. It’s to experiment with which foods may enhance your body’s innate ability to heal itself and its day-to-day function in order for you to make the choices moving forward that support you in caring for, and loving, yourself.

So join me in April to learn about your body, to love your body, to feed your body well and get to know your body in an accessible and meaningful way that you will be able to take with you moving forward! The next round is set to begin Sunday, April 15 and takes place 4:30-6pm for 5 consecutive weeks. Email me at [email protected] for more info and/or to register.

My hope is that you are on your way to feeling like this after the 5 weeks…

liberated and empowered about your food choices

With love and care!

Emma
