Introducing June’s Mobili-Buddy of the Month: Ikraan Omar

Ikraan has a consistent presence in the mobility room and it shows! Her athletic movements and lifts have improved significantly over the past several months thanks to her hard work and dedication. Thank you, Ikraan, for sharing your mobility story with us.

What first drew you to adding mobility into your routine?

I realized I was always sore and tight during the regular classes. I started to going to more mobility classes to get more mobile.

What was your first mobility experience like?

It was really calming. I also remember it being so inviting.

What are the benefits you’ve noticed from incorporating mobility?

Since I started coming to more classes, I realized I am much more mobile. My Olympic movements have been getting better as well!

Is there anything that gets you really jazzed about mobility?

I think the group atmosphere makes it so much easier to keep coming back.

What one piece of advice or insight would you share with someone that may be reserved about mobility?

If you go right after your other class, you won’t be quite as sore the next morning. And like Crossfit, everything is scalable. Honestly everybody should give it at least one try.
